ABIS Consulting Group announced a new software solution aimed at automating production trim lines in metal building and component manufacturers. The software is called Trim Genius and is integrated with the suite of Adjutant enterprise software solutions. The purpose of Trim Genius is to increase efficiency and reduce waste by greatly reducing scrap, setups, and manual shears, saving manufacturers thousands of dollars each month.
Trim Genius's unique nesting algorithms search all open trim work orders in the near future and create optimized cut lists based upon factors such as gauge, color, girth, and length. The solution is customizable and is tightly integrated with the inventory, warehouse, and shipping modules in Adjutant Software.

IAS AC472 Collaborative Meeting Held on June 5th a Huge Success
The IAS AC472 Collaborative meeting organized by ABIS Consulting Group and hosted by Schulte Building Systems held on June 5, 2009 was a huge success.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ABIS Consulting Group, Behlen Manufacturing, Bigbee Steel Buildings, Red Dot Building Systems, Schulte Building Systems and United Structures of America.
The agenda included a discussion of current partners of Adjutant Software. ABIS Consulting Group is the developer of Adjutant Software. Current partners using Adjutant Software shared how Adjutant is used in their businesses. The requirements to meet IAS AC472 Accreditation are built into Adjutant Software.
David Svesko, Quality Systems Manager for Red Dot Building Systems and an IAS AC472 expert gave a presentation on requirements of AC472 Accreditation using Software Automation.
Tom Wrigley, VP Manufacturing for Behlen Manufacturing gave a presentation on Behlen's experience achieving IAS AC472 Accreditation. Behlen is the first MBMA member to receive accreditation. Tom spoke of the pitfalls to avoid and gave helpful suggestions to use during the accreditation process.
Tim Sanchez, COO of ABIS Consulting Group demonstrated features within Adjutant Software that will be used to achieve AC472 Accreditation.
An open forum was held with the representatives from each builder sharing their business practices. The representatives from each company all felt this open forum was valuable and beneficial.
